Hi!

I am a recent graduate of San Jose State University where I earned my BS in Physics with a minor in Astronomy. My primary research interests include the characterization and detection of exoplanets. However, I have also found myself increasingly interested in instrumentation. Ultimately, I would like to find myself at the intersection of these two interests: building instruments to aid in the detection of exoplanets!

I am currently a contractor for Adecco working on the software quality operations team at Waymo where I get some unique insight to the world of autonomous vehicles. In terms of professional goals, I am open to a number of possible outcomes! As I previously mentioned, I enjoy the idea of building instruments to aid in exoplanet detection. Nevertheless, I've also considered a career path in academia as a professor. I would love the opportunity to instill in others the same passion I have for astronomy.

Aside from the aforementioned goals, and on a more personal level, I am deeply devoted to the idea of one day returning to my hometown and mentoring foster youth who are interested in higher education. As a former foster youth myself, my educational career has been littered with obstacles that might have dashed my hopes of becoming a scientist had it not been for the mentorship of incredibly supportive faculty. I hope to one day give back in a similar way.
